Elementis Swings to H1 Profit; Revenue Jumps

Profit attributable to equity holders of the parent for the six months ended June 30 was $54.5 million, compared with a loss of $65.1 million earlier. EPS moved to $0.094 from a loss per share of $0.11. The pure-play specialty chemicals company's revenue was $318.2 million, compared with $290.8 million a year ago. Meanwhile, the board declared an interim dividend of $0.015 per share, payable Sept. 25 to shareholders on record Aug. 14. It paid $0.013 per share in the prior year. Looking ahead, Elementis expects its full-year adjusted operating profit to be in line with the company-compiled consensus estimate of $132.5 million.
