The Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission is seeking public comments on “Certain Measures to Encourage Foreign-Invested Enterprises to Reinvest in China”. The draft for solicitation of comments suggests that foreign-invested enterprises are encouraged to expand reinvestment in Chongqing through various means, including foreign-invested enterprises established by law in China using undistributed profits, or domestic and foreign currency profits lawfully shared by overseas investors, to invest in new enterprises, increase capital in existing enterprises, or acquire shares, shares, property shares or other similar interests of domestic enterprises in Chongqing, as well as investment projects.
