Meta said it has committed nearly $700 billion in future expenses through long-term and short-term agreements, covering fields such as artificial intelligence data centers and cloud computing. Meta said in a regulatory filing on Thursday that the company has $349.3 billion in irrevocable contractual commitments, mainly involving third-party cloud service agreements, servers and network infrastructure. The company also has $347 billion in leasing commitments that have yet to commence, which have yet to be reflected in the balance sheet. Of this, $68 billion was added in July alone, and payments will begin in 2027 and 2028. These costs are in addition to existing active leases and cover data centers, hosting facilities, and “part of the network infrastructure.”
