Gold prices rose in early Asian trading. XS.com market analyst Linh Tran said that the impact of the US dollar trend, US bond yields, and upcoming US labor market data on the gold price trend in the next few trading days will exceed traditional safe-haven narratives. The analyst said that geopolitical risk no longer means there will be a one-way reaction in gold prices, because the tense situation in the Middle East can not only push up oil prices and inflation expectations, but also enhance safe-haven demand. The analyst added that gold is currently in a transition phase, and the recent rise looks more like a technical rebound. Spot gold rose 0.4% to $4,058.79 an ounce.
