On August 1, the 2026 China-ASEAN Construction Ministers Roundtable was held in Ipoh, Malaysia. Minister of Housing, Urban-Rural Development, and Ni Hong led a delegation to the conference. He delivered the opening address and delivered a keynote speech, introducing China's experiences and practices in the “15th Five-Year Plan” for housing, urban and rural construction, construction of “good houses”, and urban renewal. Malaysian Minister of Housing and Local Government Ni Kemin presided over the meeting. ASEAN Secretary General Gao Jinhong attended the event.
