German Monthly Retail Sales Fall 1.1% in June

02:08 AM EDT, 08/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's retail sales fell 1.1% month over month in real terms in June, following the revised 1.2% gain in May, according to data from the Federal Statistical Office published Monday. Analysts expected a 0.4% decline in sales for the month. On a yearly basis, Germany's retail sales were 0.2% lower, compared with the revised 2.1% rise earlier.
