According to data from the China Index, key cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Hefei all had high-quality properties entering the market in July, driving a structural rise in new housing prices in Baicheng. The average price of newly built homes in Baicheng was 17,229 yuan/square meter, up 0.26% month-on-month; affected by second-hand housing price adjustments in most cities, the average price of second-hand housing in Baicheng during the same period was 12,584 yuan/square meter, down 0.44% month-on-month. In terms of market transactions, the market entered the traditional low season in July, and new and second-hand housing transactions declined somewhat month-on-month, but on a year-on-year basis, market transactions remained active. According to the aforementioned agency data, the sales area of new homes in the 100 key cities fell 17% month-on-month and increased 4% year-on-year. Among them, first-tier cities, second-tier cities, and third-tier and fourth-tier cities grew 14%, 9%, and -5% year-on-year respectively; in the second-hand housing market, the 20 key cities sold 125,000 second-hand housing units, down 6% month-on-month and 9.3% year-on-year.
