On July 30, the Department of Electronic Information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a symposium on the photovoltaic industry to focus on answering questions on the recently issued three mandatory national standards, including “PV Module Safety Requirements”, “PV Module Nameplate Requirements”, and “Energy Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Levels for Crystalline Silicon PV Modules and Inverters”, to respond to industry concerns and deploy next key tasks. Photovoltaic manufacturers, inspection agencies, standardization agencies, measurement agencies and other organizations were invited to attend the conference, and in-depth exchanges were held on interpretation of standard provisions, unification of testing methods, and measurement traceability requirements. Experts from the standard drafting team responded one by one to the key and difficult questions that enterprises are generally concerned about, helping them to accurately grasp the core principles of the standard, eliminate biases in understanding, and ensure that the implementation of the standards does not deviate. In the next step, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will work with relevant departments to further step up the promotion and implementation of mandatory national standards, organize and carry out multi-form and multi-level standard promotion training, and promote the full implementation of standard requirements and effectiveness. At the same time, it will continue to improve the photovoltaic industry standard system, speed up standard revisions around new technologies, new products, and new scenarios, lead high-quality industrial development with high standards, and provide strong support for building a strong manufacturing country and promoting a green and low-carbon energy transformation.
