The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 4, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.31% to 26090.98 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 0.30% to 4890.34 points.

The pharmaceutical CXO sector strengthened sharply. Pharmaceutical Kangde (02359) rose nearly 10%, Pharmaceutical Biotech (02269) rose more than 3%, Zhaoyuan New Pharmaceutical (06127) rose nearly 6%, Gloria Ying (06821) rose more than 5%, and Tiger Pharmaceuticals (03347) rose nearly 4%. Yao Ming Kangde previously disclosed its semi-annual report. Revenue for the first half of the year was 28.897 billion yuan, an increase of 38.93% year-on-year, and the full year performance guidelines were raised. The optical communications sector was active, with Zhongji Xuchuang (03308) rising more than 9%. The cloud computing and AI application sector rose, and Jinshan Cloud (03896) rose more than 5%. Most Technology Network stocks rose, with Alibaba-W (09988), Baidu Group-SW (09888), and JD Health (06618) rising more than 1%.

Hong Kong stocks continued to open higher today, driven by an overnight strengthening in the US technology sector (the NASDAQ index rose 2.13% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 1.05%).
