On August 4, the National Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Commission initiated a national four-level disaster relief emergency response in response to the recent severe floods in Heilongjiang Province. The Ministry of Emergency Management dispatched disaster relief teams to the frontline in the disaster area to check the disaster situation and guide and assist local authorities in disaster relief work such as disaster verification, mass relocation and resettlement, and basic livelihood security.
