Photocure Faces $6.6 Million Counterclaim in Asieris Arbitration

04:32 AM EDT, 08/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Photocure (PHO.OL) plans to "vigorously pursue full payment" of a milestone fee from Asieris Pharmaceuticals despite the latter's rejection and counterclaim. The Norwegian diagnostic company said Tuesday that Asieris on Monday denied its $11 million arbitration demand and also filed a counterclaim for the return of the $6.6 million it paid in April. Photocure maintained that Asieris should have paid the full $11 million milestone payment when China's National Medical Products Administration approved the commercial launch of Cevira in March under the terms of their license agreement.
