On August 4, the Guangzhou Real Estate Agents Association released the city's second-hand housing online signature data for July. Due to extreme weather making it more difficult for consumers to view houses, the number and area of second-hand housing units and area in Guangzhou fell slightly by 0.94% and 3.42% month-on-month in July 2026, to 8,658 units and 858,500 square meters respectively, compared to 7.10% and 7.23%, respectively. From January to July 2026, 62016 second-hand housing units and 6.207,200 square meters of second-hand housing were signed online in Guangzhou. Judging from the month-on-month ratio of the number of online signings in each district, with the exception of Baiyun, there was an increase; peripheral regions, with the exception of Huadu, generally declined. Among them, Zengcheng District dropped significantly, by more than 10%.
