Phased parking and maintenance of Red Sun (000525.SZ) subsidiary Nanjing biochemical paraquat plant

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Red Sun (000525.SZ) announced that the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Nanjing Red Sun Biochemical Co., Ltd. (“Nanjing Biochemical”), plans to carry out phased planned parking and maintenance of its paraquat devices in order to eliminate potential safety hazards of production equipment and ensure the stable operation of the device, in conjunction with annual maintenance arrangements and production and marketing plans, to carry out equipment updates, hazard investigation and facility maintenance. This overhaul is a routine maintenance operation for chemical manufacturers.

According to the announcement, the first phase of maintenance is from August 5, 2026 to September 25, 2026, with a planned construction period of 50 days. It mainly carries out major maintenance work such as core equipment updates, management of hidden production system hazards, maintenance of pipelines and automatic control systems, and inspection of safety facilities. The second phase of maintenance is from December 1, 2026 to December 15, 2026, with a planned construction period of 15 days. It mainly relies on the park's power outage window to complete maintenance and commissioning, sporadic maintenance, and optimization of the winter antifreeze system. During the maintenance period, the production of biochemical paraquat products in Nanjing will decline in stages. Relevant maintenance costs are included in current costs, which will have a slight impact on the company's 2026 phased performance. The company has coordinated delivery and order arrangements in advance to effectively reduce the impact of this maintenance on product delivery.
