On August 3, Cainiao officially opened a warehouse at London Port in the UK. According to reports, the warehouse has already gone through several months of trial operation. The “integrated warehouse closure” model has gone through actual business tests, consolidating customs clearance, inspection, and terminal delivery into the same system, so that terminal delivery can be completed as soon as 24 hours after landing. Even at peak promotions, the timelines can be stabilized, providing core support for Britain's “3-day delivery.” According to information, the warehouse is operated independently by Cainiao and collaborated with partners to complete customs clearance. “The reason we chose to build our own port warehouse in the UK is that we want to work with our partners to firmly grasp the easiest port process of customs clearance and delivery of the card in our own hands.” Li Shuo, head of cross-border logistics at Cainiao Group in Europe, said, “Only by achieving integrated warehouse closure and strict control throughout the process can we give merchants a stable and predictable landing time, so that logistics can go from being an uncertain item in overseas business to a definite item they can rely on.”
