At about 9:45 a.m. on August 1, 2026, a bursting accident occurred on the way to the underground mining site of the company's Fankou lead-zinc mine, resulting in 1 death. After the accident occurred, the company recently received the “Notice on Ordering the Discontinuation of Production at the Fankou Lead-Zinc Mine” issued by the Shaoguan Municipal Emergency Management Bureau. The notice requires that production be stopped immediately and that a comprehensive safety inspection be carried out. Production can only be resumed after the problems discovered have been rectified and approved by the emergency management department.
