On a per-share basis, the Cerritos, California-based company said it had profit of 26 cents.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 20 cents per share.

The online women's fashion retailer posted revenue of $347.4 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $343.2 million.
