The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to several trading sources, DeepSeek, a major domestic model company, has relaunched the second round of financing. The proposed capital raised in this round is about 50 billion yuan, and the pre-investment valuation target is about 500 billion yuan. It is expected that the financing contract will be completed in late August.

Sources said that DeepSeek's second round of financing actually started as early as mid-July, but it was suspended at the end of July. Some investment institutions on the waiting list for negotiations were told that the original arrangement to sign the financing agreement was suspended. Currently, the relevant financing plan is being promoted again, and the specific investors and transaction structure have not been disclosed.

Previously, DeepSeek launched the first round of financing in April of this year and completed the settlement in June. According to market information, the scale of this round of financing was about 50 billion yuan, and the post-financing valuation exceeded 350 billion yuan, setting a record for the first round of financing for large AI model companies in China.

As a representative enterprise in the domestic AI model field, DeepSeek quickly gained market attention with its low-cost, high-performance large model technology route. The series of models it launched performed outstanding in inference, code generation, etc., and became an important representative of China's big model companies in the context of accelerated competition in the global AI industry.

Industry insiders believe that if the second round of financing is successfully completed, DeepSeek's valuation is expected to increase further, which will provide financial support for the company's subsequent model research and development, computing power infrastructure construction, and commercialization. It also reflects the capital market's continued interest in the long-term value of China's artificial intelligence basic model circuit.
