According to the Zhitong Finance App, Huayi Financial Holdings (08123) announced that the Group expects to lose about HK$5.9 million in the first half of 2026 and profit of about HK$7 million in the first half of 2025. Although the Group achieved a significant increase in revenue to approximately HK$46.1 million in the first half of 2026 (first half of 2025: approximately HK$4.5 million) due to a newly established division providing artificial intelligence and digital marketing services and increased revenue from automobile trade, the increase in revenue was accompanied by changes in finished product inventory and other direct costs. Therefore, after deducting the one-time impairment refund project, the Group's relevant operating performance in the first half of 2026 was roughly similar to the first half of 2025. Losses were mainly due to a number of one-time and non-cash items. In the first half of 2026, there was no significant return of impairment losses on prepayments for car purchases (first half of 2025: approximately HK$18.6 million). This impact was partially offset by the reinstatement of around HK$3.5 million (first half of 2025: none) of impairment losses on other accounts receivable confirmed in the first half of 2026.
