HSBC Boosts Tender Offer Amount for Senior Unsecured Notes due 2028 to $6.8 Billion

08:28 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- HSBC (HSBA.L) increased the maximum tender amount under its offers to purchase four series of fixed-rate/floating rate senior unsecured notes to $6.75 billion from $5 billion. The British lender said Thursday it also increased the repurchase offer for the May 2028 notes to up to $1 billion from $750 million. The series of notes includes 2.013% notes due Sept. 22, 2028, 7.390% notes due Nov. 3, 2028, 5.597% notes due May 17, 2028, and 4.041% notes due March 13, 2028. The offers are set to expire on Aug. 12, unless extended or terminated earlier.
