The “loyal resistance” party group in the Lebanese parliament recently issued a statement strongly criticizing the Lebanese government for continuing negotiations with Israel and calling for the immediate cessation of related negotiations and any concessions made to Israel. The party group stated in a statement that in the context of Israel's continued aggression against Lebanon and frequent violations of the cease-fire agreement, continuing negotiations with Israel disregard the country's sovereignty and people's security. The statement stressed that this policy of “negotiations with the enemy” not only failed to guarantee the legitimate rights and interests of Lebanon, but instead intensified domestic political divisions and essentially served Israel's interests. The Hezbollah side reiterated that the only way to resolve the current crisis is for Israel to completely stop military attacks against Lebanon, withdraw unconditionally from Lebanese territory, release the detainees, and guarantee the safe return of the displaced persons to their homes. The party group warned that any attempt to advance political negotiations in the face of continued Israeli occupation and aggression would be viewed as a betrayal of the resistance movement, and Hezbollah would resolutely resist the implementation of any relevant agreement.
