According to Yemeni government sources, on August 6, Yemeni government military barracks in Malib and Hadramaut provinces in Yemen were attacked. At least 30 Yemeni government soldiers died, and the death toll is likely to rise. Yemeni Houthi spokesman Yahya Sareya issued a video statement on the same day announcing the launch of missile and drone attacks on so-called “Saudi military deployments” in many parts of these two provinces, adding that hundreds of “pro-Saudi militants” have been killed or injured, and military camps, weapons depots, and vehicles have been destroyed.
