Munich Re Reports Higher H1 Attributable Net Result; Insurance Revenue Down

01:55 AM EDT, 08/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Munich Re (MUV2.F) said Friday its net result for the first half rose, while insurance revenue declined year over year. Net result attributable to equity holders for the six months ended June 30 was 3.92 billion euros, compared with 3.17 billion euros a year earlier. EPS moved to 30.89 euros from 24.26 euros. The German insurance group's insurance revenue from insurance contracts issued was 29.96 billion euros, compared with 30.59 billion euros a year ago. For 2026, the company maintained its net result outlook at 6.3 billion euros, while lowering its group insurance revenue projection to 62 billion euros from 64 billion euros.
