China Automobile Association: Vehicle exports reached US$91.8 billion in the first half of the year, up 53.9% year on year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June 2026, automobile exports were 1.069 million vehicles, up 8.2% month-on-month and 72.7% year-on-year. The export value reached US$18.23 billion, up 9.1% month-on-month and 69.6% year-on-year. In January-June, 5.307 million vehicles were exported, up 52.8% year on year; export value reached US$91.8 billion, up 53.9% year on year.

According to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June 2026, 38,000 vehicles were imported, up 0.6% from the previous month, down 10.1% from the previous year; the import amount was 1.90 billion US dollars, up 6.0% from the previous year, down 15.6% from the previous year. In January-June, 201,000 vehicles were imported, down 10.5% year on year; the import amount was 9.44 billion US dollars, down 18.5% year on year.
