European Commission OKs Naspers' Purchase of eMAG

06:43 AM EDT, 08/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission cleared the acquisition of Romanian retailer Dante International, d/b/a eMAG, by South African consumer internet group Naspers (NPN.JO). The authority said Friday the transaction would not raise competition issues because it would have a limited impact on the market and the companies are not active in the same or vertically related markets.
