On the 7th local time, Iranian President Pezzahizyan delivered a speech on the second anniversary of his inauguration, explaining his position on various issues such as the regional situation, diplomatic negotiations, and domestic politics. Pezheziyan stressed that Iran has never sought war or expansion, but it will definitely firmly defend the country's sovereignty and security. He pointed out that the US and Israel intend to stir up dissension between Iran and neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf through the recent conflict. The US military used its bases in regional countries to launch attacks on Iran, and Iran was forced to act in self-defense. At the same time, he called on Islamic countries to strengthen unity and trust. Referring to the recent memorandum of understanding on the cease-fire between Iran and the US, he revealed that Iran did not make any concessions during the negotiations. The cease-fire agreement was originally scheduled to be signed by US President Trump to ensure implementation, but the US side completely changed its position in less than 24 hours. Regarding negotiations on diplomatic and nuclear issues, Pezechizyan said that Iran had previously reached an agreement with France to lift the “quick resumption of sanctions mechanism,” but it was not implemented due to US intervention and Europe's lack of independent decision-making power. Pezheziyan also refuted claims that there are differences between the government and the military, stressing that the government, parliament, judiciary, and armed forces maintain a high degree of unity, successfully disrupting predictions that the enemy is trying to cause internal collapse in Iran. Furthermore, Pezekhizyan clearly clarified rumors about his resignation, stressing that he will never resign and will continue to perform his duties of serving the people.
