Today, the world's largest impact hydroelectric power unit successfully completed rotor hoisting at the Datang Zala Hydropower Station, marking that China's core technology for ultra-high water head and high-capacity impact hydropower equipment ranks among the world's leaders, and strongly promotes the construction of a clean energy base in southeast Tibet. The Datang Zala Hydropower Station is the backbone of the country's “Tibetan Electricity Transmission” project. It is equipped with two 500 megawatt impact units, making it the largest stand-alone equipment of the same type in the world. As the first major technical equipment in the energy field in China, it has technical advantages such as high altitude, high water head, and large capacity. The rotor hoisted this time is the “power heart” of the generator set to achieve energy conversion. The rotor is about 840 tons, which is equivalent to the total weight of 560 small family cars. Its successful installation marks that the project has entered the final sprint phase before it is put into production. After the power plant is fully put into operation, it can generate nearly 4 billion kilowatts of clean green electricity every year, saving 1.3 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.42 million tons.
