According to J.P. Morgan Chase, global gas turbine orders in the second quarter of this year set a record, driven by a surge in electricity demand. Analyst Phil Buller and others released a research report saying that the order volume for the quarter was about 38 gigawatts, an increase of 29% over the first quarter and a significant increase of 71% over the same period last year. The US is still the main market, accounting for nearly half of orders. Driven by the expansion of data centers and the wave of electrification, gas turbine orders have increased dramatically in recent years. Natural gas burns more cleanly than coal, and is also more stable than wind power and photovoltaic power generation. Due to the boom in the industry, supply is tight in some regions.
