According to the Zhitong Finance App, Electric Energy Industrial (00006) announced its 2026 interim results. The group achieved revenue of HK$298 million, a year-on-year decrease of 15.34%; profit attributable to the company's shareholders was HK$14.704 billion, an increase of 383.37%; profit per share was HK$6.9, and an interim dividend of HK$0.78 per share was planned.

The Group's financial performance in the first half of 2026 was outstanding, with an unaudited profit of HK$14.704 billion (2025: HK$3,042 billion), an increase of 383% over the same period last year, mainly due to the Group's sale of UK Power Networks (UKPN) and UK Rails interests. The Group grasped the opportunity to monetize the above projects with ideal valuations, bringing considerable accounting and cash returns, and providing sufficient capital for future investments.

The global operating and investment environment remains challenging, the geopolitical situation is becoming increasingly tense, and inflationary pressure has not abated.
