The Zhitong Finance App learned that on Wednesday, the storage sector generally rose. SanDisk (SNDK.US), SK Hynix (SKHY.US), and Seagate (STX.US) rose more than 7%, Micron (MU.US) rose more than 6%, and Western Digital (WDC.US) rose more than 5%. Furthermore, the stock price of South Korea's “storage duo” also rose sharply today. On the one hand, investors' risk appetite picked up after chip stocks plummeted last month; on the other hand, investors are also weighing reports — Singaporean state-owned investment company Temasek plans to invest in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.

The report said that Temasek plans to directly invest in these two chip makers through an internal investment team rather than entrusting an external asset management company to invest, and is currently considering when to enter the market. The report also quoted information from relevant government departments and agencies as saying that Temasek had communicated with the South Korean government about the timing of the investment. If the above investment is settled, it will mark Temasek's first direct investment in the Korean stock market. According to reports, Temasek believes that memory chips in the AI supply chain are still undervalued.
