German treasury bonds and British treasury bonds returned to gains. As negotiations over the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz are still uncertain, oil prices have recovered from earlier declines. Traders have basically ignored the US inflation data for July, which is in line with market expectations. Currently, it is expected that the ECB will raise interest rates by 39 basis points by the end of the year, and the Bank of England will raise interest rates by 28 basis points by the end of the year. The price of Brent crude oil fell 0.1% to $88.82 a barrel.
