The Zhitong Finance App learned that Samsonite (01910) rose more than 7% in early trading. As of press release, it had risen 6.85% to HK$14.5, with a turnover of HK$464.16,300.

According to the news, Samsonite announced that the subsidiary plans to acquire 85% of Beis's external members' rights at a cash cost of US$178 million. Currently, it is expected that the acquisition will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026. According to public information, Beis owns BéIS, a lifestyle and travel brand founded by actor and entrepreneur Shay Mitchell in 2018.

Samsonite said that BÉIS is a digital native brand with more than 1.4 million followers and over 619,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok respectively, and the lifestyle luggage category accounts for about 50% of its net sales. The acquisition will expand the Group's travel and lifestyle product portfolio, strengthen digital capabilities, and reinforce its growth trend in North America.
