ANZ Group Holdings Ltd (ASX: ANZ), Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX: TWE), and Telstra Group Ltd (ASX: TLS) shares are turning heads today.
Two of the blue-chip ASX shares are outperforming the 0.7% losses posted by the S&P/ASX 200 Index (ASX: XJO) in late morning trade on Thursday, while the third is tumbling hard.
Here's what's catching investor interest.
Telstra shares are down 3.6% at the time of writing, changing hands for $4.82 apiece.
This follows the release of the ASX 200 telco's full-year FY 2026 results.
Highlights from the 12 months included a 4% year-on-year increase in underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to $8.3 billion. And underlying net profit after tax (NPAT) of $2.5 billion was up 4.9% from FY 2025.
Over the full year, Telstra paid out a total of 21 cents per share in partly-franked dividends, up 10.5% from the prior year.
However, investors may be pressuring Telstra shares today with the company's revenue slipping 0.8% to $22.9 billion.
Telstra completed its $1.25 billion on-market share buyback in June. Today, the company announced a further on-market share buyback of up to $1 billion.
In FY 2027, Telstra expects continued underlying EBITDA growth with an earnings guidance range between $8.5 billion and $8.8 billion.
Unlike Telstra shares, the Treasury Wine share price is lifting today after the company reported its own FY 2026 results.
At the time of writing, shares in the ASX 200 global wine company are up 2.2% at $5.62 each.
Treasury Wine reported full-year net sales revenue of $2.6 billion, up 12.8% year on year. And on the earnings front, EBITS increased by 19.2% to $492.3 million, beating the company's revised guidance.
And with heft operating losses having been largely factored in, investors are bidding up Treasury Wine shares today despite the company reporting a statutory NPAT loss of $1.08 billion, impacted by $1.31 billion in post-tax material items.
Which brings us to…
Joining Treasury Wine and Telstra shares in the making waves today, we find ANZ.
Shares in the ASX 200 bank stock are up 2.4% at the time of writing, changing hands for $37.25 apiece following the release of the company's June quarter update (Q3 2026).
ANZ shares look to be getting a lift, with the bank reporting a cash profit of $1.90 billion. That's up 1% on the quarterly average for the half year ended 31 March.
In other core financial metrics, revenue was flat for the quarter, while ANZ's net interest margin (NIM) edged up to 1.54% from 1.53%.
Potentially throwing up headwinds for ANZ shares down the road, the bank reported a 12% drop in mortgage applications since the Federal Budget's changes to property taxes.
Both Westpac Banking Corp (ASX: WBC) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX: CBA) also recently reported a material decline in mortgage applications following the amendments to property taxes.
