Comrade Wang Xiji, an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, a pioneer in China's aerospace industry, a famous space technology expert, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the recipient of the national “Two Bombs and One Star Merit Medal”, former adviser to the Science and Technology Committee of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, and technical adviser to the China Academy of Space Technology, died in Beijing on August 12, 2026 at the age of 105 due to ineffective medical treatment.
