Pharming Group Launches Rare Primary Immunodeficiency Therapy Joenja in Japan

02:10 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Pharming Group (PHARM.AS) launched its activated PI3K delta syndrome therapy Joenja in Japan, according to a Thursday release. The drug will treat patients aged four years to 11 years with the rare primary immunodeficiency condition. OrphanPacific will be the biopharmaceutical company's marketing partner for Joenja in Japan. The launch followed Joenja's approval by Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in March as the first treatment specifically for the disease.
