Spanish Annual Inflation Rate Rises to 3.6% in July, Final Data Shows

03:17 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spain's annual inflation accelerated to 3.6% in July from 3.2% in June, final data from the National Statistics Institute showed Thursday. The flash figure for the month stood at 3.5%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices in Spain were up 0.3%, against the previous 0.6% gain and the initial reading of a 0.2% uptick. The Spanish annual harmonized inflation rate came in at 3.9%, after the preliminary 3.8% and previous month's 3.6%. Month over month, harmonized consumer prices flatlined, compared with the initial reading of a 0.1% decline and a 0.6% rise earlier. Meanwhile, the country's annual core inflation rate edged up to 3% from 2.9%, matching the flash data.
