First Tin Outlines 13% Jump in Ore Reserve Estimate for Taronga Tin Project in Australia

03:36 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- First Tin (1SN.L) said Thursday its proved and probable ore reserves at its Taronga tin project in New South Wales, Australia, grew 13% to 45 million tonnes at 0.12% tin, containing 55,000 tonnes of the metal. Under the tin development company's revised ore reserve statement, proved ore reserves rose 19% to 31 million tonnes at 0.13% tin, containing 41,000 tonnes of tin, and probable ore reserves stood at 14 million tonnes at 0.10% tin, containing 14,000 tonnes of tin. The updated ore reserves remain within the project's existing pit limits and are expected to add one year to the current mine life. Preliminary optimization also indicated potential for four additional years of mine life based solely on measured and indicated resources.
