04:54 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aterian (ATN.L) secured a capital funding package involving an unsecured convertible loan note from its chief executive officer and a $350,000 commitment from a longtime shareholder toward a preference share offering of up to $500,000. The Africa-focused critical metals company said Thursday that CEO Simon Rollason converted 150,000 pounds sterling of amounts owed to him by Aterian into a convertible loan note, which will convert into Aterian shares at 0.25 pounds each by Dec. 31. Meanwhile, the preference shares in Aterian's Rwandan trading subsidiary, Eastinco, will carry a 12% cumulative annual dividend and are intended to replace the higher-cost mezzanine funding.
