Counterpoint analysts MS Hwang and Neil Shah said in the report that Kioxia's shipping ranking declined in part due to the higher price of server products. However, if calculated based on sales rather than shipment volume, Changjiang Storage still lags behind Micron Technology and Kioxia, ranking fifth in the world. Analysts pointed out that although Changjiang Storage already has a fairly large shipping scale, “scale has not yet been converted into revenue.” With the rapid spread of artificial intelligence applications, enterprise demand for low-power, energy-efficient data storage, especially solid-state drives, is on the rise.
