According to a recent report by Franklin Venture Partners, a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, SpaceX is not the end of commercial space investment opportunities, but rather an “infrastructure unlocker” that lowers the entry threshold into space. With reusable rockets, government procurement reforms, and commercial demand jointly promoted, the next generation of commercial space companies is ushering in a more favorable development environment. The report shows that the size of the global space economy has grown from about 267 billion US dollars in 2010 to about 400 billion US dollars in 2020, and further reached about 570 billion US dollars in 2025, a growth rate more than double that of global GDP. According to multiple forecasts, the market will break through $1 trillion in the early 2030s and reach about 1.35 trillion US dollars in 2035. In 2025, venture capital in the space sector reached a record high of about US$10 billion.
