The WeChat Video Creation Security Center published an article stating that in order to maintain the green live streaming environment for video accounts, create a good live streaming ecosystem, and continuously optimize the live streaming experience, video channel live streaming has always severely cracked down on all kinds of live streaming chaos. For anchors that have committed irregularities, the platform will punish their accounts accordingly in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations and platform regulations. Punishments include, but are not limited to: pop-up warnings, reduction of recommendations, interruption of live broadcasts, and ban broadcasts. In July 2026, the platform disposed of a total of 38013 illegal live broadcast rooms and 18,289 illegal accounts. The main types of violations include, but are not limited to, the following: Illegal group broadcast content: vulgar content, inductive rewards. Unregulated live streaming of medical and health content: Unqualified accounts can broadcast live medical and health content. Suspected fraudulent content: Selling courses using fake quick wealth projects as a gimmick. Content that infringes on the rights and interests of others: pirating other people's live streaming content, disclosing other people's private information, and fabricating and spreading rumors during live broadcasts.
