According to the “Global Submarine Cable Industry Development Research Report” recently released by the Institute of Industry and Planning of the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology, by the end of 2025, the number of submarine cables in service worldwide reached 592, with a total length of over 1.5 million kilometers. Over the next five years, global submarine cables will maintain a high investment scale. At present, the world's announced investment scale for submarine cable systems from 2026 to 2030 exceeds US$19 billion, with Asia accounting for 22% of the investment scale.
