OpenAI appointed a second chief revenue officer in less than a year, indicating that the company is working to increase sales growth and prepare for the much-anticipated Wall Street listing. OpenAI has hired Dali Rajic as the new chief revenue officer. Rajic previously served as the president and chief operating officer of Wiz, a cybersecurity company owned by Alphabet, and will succeed Dennis Dresser, who joined OpenAI in December last year. Drether will leave the company after completing the transition period. The appointment also comes as the OpenAI executive team continues to adjust. Executives such as Brad Lightkapp, Fergie Seymour, and Kevin Weir have recently left the company. OpenAI President Greg Brockman said that the next phase of the company will need to continuously prove that every dollar a customer invests in artificial intelligence can bring “measurable commercial value.” He revealed that OpenAI's annual revenue and operation rate increased by more than 20% month-on-month in July, and the business growth of enterprise customers reached 32%. Last month, OpenAI said it had surpassed 1 billion weekly active users.
