SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won said in an interview with the media that SK Hynix is considering a joint venture to build a new memory chip factory to reduce the risks caused by huge capital expenses and overcapacity during the boom and bust cycle of traditional industries. Choi Tae-won also warned that the current tight supply of memory chips will further intensify in 2027.
