Police in Rolpa district in western Nepal reported on the 13th that a landslide caused by continuous heavy rainfall killed 10 people, and the whereabouts of 2 others are unknown. The report said that the landslide occurred in a remote hilly area in Rolpa County on the evening of the 12th, and a small local village was almost razed to the ground. Local police spokesman Shrestha told Xinhua that rescuers found the bodies of 5 victims at the landslide site, while another 5 bodies were found in Biutan County a few kilometers away.
