07:33 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bernstein lifted its price target for A.P. Møller - Mærsk (MAERSK-A.CO) to 14,100 Danish kroner from 10,700 kroner as the Danish shipping giant upgraded its full-year 2026 guidance again following a "strong" second quarter. "Maersk's Q2 2026 numbers were ahead of Bloomberg consensus, with EBIT of $1571m beating the median estimate of $540m. All segments were ahead on EBITDA. Moreover, the company raised guidance for the second time in six weeks, now seeing EBITDA at $10.5-12.5bn (vs $8-10bn) previously," the research firm said Friday. "This revision was driven by a much tighter market than previously anticipated, characterized by extremely resilient demand for Asian exports and severe landside bottlenecks that have seen terminal volumes outpace overall market growth. FCF is now seen as greater than breakeven (previously greater than -$1.5bn), with capex still at $10bn-$11bn in 2026-27." Against this backdrop, analysts also revised their financial forecasts, including higher revenue, underlying EPS, underlying EBIT and underlying EBITDA projections over the 2026 to 2030 period. The stock is rated underperform. Analysts also noted that the company's management shifted its messaging on the shipping industry during the quarter, placing greater emphasis on the view that terminal capacity is inadequate globally and that congestion on major container ports will become more frequent.
