Iraqi Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair said at a press conference that “since the beginning of this month, crude oil exports have reached 2 million barrels per day,” with a cumulative export of about 26 million barrels. Before the war in the Middle East broke out, Iraq produced about 4 million barrels of crude oil per day and exported an average of 105 million barrels per month. Most of it was shipped from the Basra oil terminal in southern Iraq and via the Strait of Hormuz.
