Affected by continuous rainfall and upstream incoming water, at around 10 a.m. on August 13, a farmland drainage gate in the Cangtou Village section of Yanling County, Qingping River was destroyed. The width of the collapse was more than 10 meters. The water discharge at the collapse had a certain impact on some villages in Xiaoyao Town, Xihua County, downstream, and some farmland was flooded. After the dangerous situation occurred, Henan Province successively organized experts and rescue forces of more than 300 people and invested 40 machines to fully rescue them.
