Recently, the Fujian Provincial Government issued the “Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Emerging Industries and Future Industries in Fujian Province”, which clearly promotes the development of nine major future industries. Among them, based on Fujian's strategic mineral resource endowment, it leverages the leading ability of leading enterprises to cultivate four major tracks of energy and electronic materials, advanced structural materials, advanced chemical materials, and cutting-edge new materials, promote the development of a full chain of basic research, mid-scale testing, large-scale manufacturing and market application of new materials, and build a new functional materials industry cluster with distinctive characteristics and strong competitiveness. Among them, energy and electronic materials focus on the needs of industries such as new energy and semiconductors to build a globally influential supply base for key materials in energy electronics; advanced structural materials expand high-value and high-performance products around the needs of aerospace and deep-sea equipment; advanced chemical materials focus on high-end fine chemicals and new chemical materials to promote the extension of basic raw materials to high added value; and cutting-edge new materials use scenarios to drive the industrialization of cutting-edge technology and enhance basic research, concept verification and pilot production capabilities.
