Recently, the Fujian Provincial Government issued the “Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Emerging Industries and Future Industries in Fujian Province”, which clearly promotes the development of nine major future industries. Among them, in response to the major needs of industries such as artificial intelligence, we give full play to the innovative advantages of semiconductor manufacturing and core devices in our province, and cultivate four major racetracks for integrated circuits, compound semiconductors, novel displays, and optoelectronic components. Integrated circuits focus on future high-computing power and low-power chip development needs to improve the level of chip design, chip manufacturing, packaging testing, and component support; compound semiconductors promote the development of wide bandgap and ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors and accelerate the construction of a full-chain industrial ecosystem; new displays focus on future display technology innovation and lead the high-end display market; and optoelectronic components focus on core materials and key device research to create a source of innovative strategies for optoelectronic materials and devices.
