The reporter learned from China National Railway Group Co., Ltd., that in the first seven months of this year, railways across the country sent 2.8 billion passengers, an increase of 4.1% over the previous year, reaching another record high for the same period. In the first seven months, the railway department coordinated the use of new station resources for new lines such as the Xi'an-East to Shiyan East section of the Wuhan to Xi'an high-speed railway and the Lanxi East to Jiande section of the Jinhua-Jiande high-speed railway to increase capacity investment. Railways across the country arranged to operate an average of 11,462 passenger trains per day, an increase of 571 trains over the previous year, an increase of 5.2%. In terms of cross-border passenger transportation, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail sent 2.049,000 cross-border passengers, and the China-Lao Railway sent 214,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 11.5% and 38.2%, respectively.
